Akarui would look like a really shy girl and everything, but don't be fooled. If you approach her with a threat she'll get extremely violent. As long as you avoid saying anything that sounds like a threat then you'll be fine. She is really aggressive when it comes to threats and such. However despite that she's not that bad. She's nice to be honest. You just have to watch what you do or say. She is really friendly and selfless, and she loves to help others in any way whether it has to do with injuries or not. She can be playful in many ways, and will sometimes flirt a bit, depending on the person that is. It's really rare for her to flirt though... When she's jealous she shows it rather well, though it's unintentionally. When she does get jealous she gets mad, so she'll end up ignoring you for maybe.. a few days? If Akarui is just mad, she'll either ignore you or give you a deadly glare (but don't worry.. she's not gonna kill you.. well maybe //shot). She is forgiving as long as you apologize for you faults. If you don't know what you did wrong.. just apologize anyways. Akarui has no sense of personal space either...

♥ H i s t o r y :
When Akarui was a little girl, she lived with her older brother, though it was for only a very short while. Her father were killed by hunters, but her mother on the other hand was a mystery. The most she can remember about that night, the night before her father died, was that there was a fairly small group of cowboys who were gathered at their campfire, singing a few songs, though they weren't the first. Her father and brother would sit in a distance from them, mimicking their voice and occasionally singing along with them. Akarui had no interest in mimicking voices so she would sit aside and listen to them sing (*Jackalopes have an uncanny ability to mimic human sounds. When chased they will use their vocal abilities to elude capture.). Later on that same night, the cowboys had already set out their tents and have gone to sleep, but before they did, they have left out a small glass in the middle of the camp. Since they know absolutely nothing about humans they were really curious about them, and that being said they have gone over to the camp quietly and started to look around. Her father was the one who found the glass, which contained whiskey (*They have a particular fondness for whiskey, and that was the best way to catch a Jackalope since it'll make them slower and easier to hunt once consumed). After her father drank the whiskey, the sound of gunfire had gone off and everything else had became a blur. That was all she could remember besides the fact that she and her brother barely made it out alive.

Everything was different after that. Her brother never mimicked another human or sang along with their song and not only that, but he had stopped talking to her completely and they began to grow apart from each other very quickly. It wasn't long after till he had passed from major blood loss. Akarui had some few scratches and small minor wounds; it wasn't enough to kill her, luckily.. but the lost of her father and brother had put her in a terrible depression. She had lost every confidence and every bit of motivation to move on, and even so, she didn't stop. She continued to move forward, hoping and thinking that maybe, just maybe there was going to be something in the future that awaits her.

Akarui quickly moved out of the grassland and into the nearby forest. It wasn't something she wanted to do, since she preferred to stay in the area of what used to be her home, yet at the same time she didn't want to encounter another human ever again in her life.

Many years later, during a cold winter, a strange man had visited the forest. Akarui was looking for food, and had spotted the man in a distance; she didn't run away. He looked slightly different from the humans she had encounter many times in the past. The man was disarmed and looked very harmless, but to Akarui humans are still humans. Nothing more and nothing less. Throughout the year she haven't really encountered any dangers, it was a rather peaceful life yet... it was not a very fun one. Despite that she did learn a few new things, and one of them was transforming into a human. It wasn't very successful though since she would still have her rabbit ears and tail.. and sometimes it would include her antlers. She actually preferred it more than her original form. It didn't take long for the man to notice Akarui. She stood still, watching his expressions as well as his movements. He didn't move a muscle for a while. Akarui didn't want to waste anymore time. He may look harmless, but who knows maybe it's a trap. She took a step back before turning away, transforming into her original form and leaving.

"W-wait!" the man called out. Before thinking about his actions he quickly approached her. It was a bad mistake. Akarui took it as a threat and quickly turned back and leaped at him with her antlers (*The jackalope is an aggressive species, willing to use its antlers to fight if provoked. Thus, it is also sometimes called the "warrior rabbit."). The man quickly dodge the attack. Before she could take another leap, her visions became blurry and hard to see and soon she collapsed. She haven't been able to get much to eat lately and had been starving for many days.

Akarui was taken back to his place; where she was cared for.. even though she tried to attack him. It turns out that he was a doctor. He had explained to her why he was in the forest, and that he meant no harm when he had approached her. Interested in his job, she decided to stay with him, wanting to learn everything. Being close to humans weren't really her thing, but she'll have to get used to it. He didn't mind at all that she wanted to learn about these things or that she would be willing enough to stay, and so he had never said a word about having a jackalope in his house to anyone. She quickly grew to admire him and was inspired by him to become something similar.

Aging for her was a lot different compared to him. Up to this point she would stop aging, but for humans.. there is no stopping the clock. She learned everything she needed to and have learned not to attack anyone who approaches anymore, well.. only if they dare to threaten her. Her main concern was the doctor. She knew that time won't stop for him and he knew what was worrying her. Instead of letting her stay and spend time with him, he told her that she should go and explore what the world has to offer. She was given a book full of information she would might need if she wanted to continue on with her work and a golden locket for her to keep close.

Later on that night, she left the house with the items she was given. She traveled around from many areas to another, looking for a place where she would be accepted and not get killed. She wanted to continue on with being a nurse. It wasn't just because she loved it, but she wanted something else to remember him by.
